CNPC CEO Engr. Noel T. Florido was invited to be a speaker at the Coco Coir Summit held last January 24 and 25 in Narra, Palawan, with the aim to give insights on the importance of coco coir and its market to help people whose livelihood have been affected by the mining closures in the province.

Mr. Florido discussed how coconut husks, which are considered agricultural waste, are processed into coco nets and are used for environment protection. He also discussed the role of the industry as a socially responsible industry that can create income opportunities for the marginalized segments of the countryside.
